Doris Ogala Alleges Paid Campaign to Discredit Activist VDM

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has publicly addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM). In a post on her Instagram account on Monday, December 29, 2025, Ogala claimed that financial incentives are being used to tarnish the activist’s reputation.

“I heard someone has been paid 6 million to discredit VDM. Another mistake. Una really not get sense. Bring it on,” she wrote, expressing defiance against what she sees as coordinated efforts to undermine VDM.

Ogala’s statement comes amid increased public attention following her recent arrest and detention, which was reportedly connected to issues involving a cleric. VDM later intervened in her case, challenging the circumstances of her ordeal and calling for accountability. As part of his involvement, the activist reportedly presented an individual claiming to be the cleric’s daughter, who made emotional allegations about her upbringing.

The actress’s remarks highlight rising tensions and alleged behind-the-scenes tactics in the ongoing public discourse involving the activist.
