The family of a man identified as Mr. Innocent is appealing for information and assistance from the public and law enforcement following his disappearance after a trip from Lagos to Abuja in April 2025.
According to the family, Mr. Innocent traveled to Abuja on April 17, 2025, for a business contract. They remained in regular contact with him until he notified them that he had reached the Gwagwalada area. After that point, his phone became unreachable and was later switched off.
In their search for answers, the family contacted the transport company, Blessed Friyo, which he reportedly used for the journey. The company's management claimed the vehicle he boarded was involved in a fatal accident in Abuja with no survivors.
However, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) stated that no such fatal accident was recorded during that period. According to the FRSC, the only crash reported involved a trailer and a car, with no details matching the description provided by the transport company.
With conflicting accounts and no confirmed evidence of his fate, the family believes Mr. Innocent may still be alive and is calling on the police and the public to help locate him.
