Kano, Nigeria – In a solemn show of solidarity, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso and Kano State Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo visited grieving father Mallam Haruna this weekend. The visit follows the devastating murder of Haruna's wife and six children in the Chiranci area of Dorayi, Kano.
The delegation’s purpose, as stated by Senator Kwankwaso’s media aide Hajiya Fatima Raka, was to personally commiserate with Haruna, offering prayers for strength, comfort, and divine intervention in the face of an almost incomprehensible loss.
Authorities report that three suspects have already been arrested in connection with the gruesome crime, and police investigations are ongoing.
During the visit, both leaders described the incident as profoundly shocking and painful. They prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased and strongly emphasized the need for justice. The leaders also underscored the importance of supporting victims of violence and their families during such tragedies.
