A 23-year-old man, Shittu Suleimon, has been charged in Lagos State for allegedly touching the buttocks of a 12-year-old girl without her consent.
According to police reports, the incident occurred in the Adeniyi Jones area of Ikeja on November 30, 2025. Following a report at the Ikeja Police Division, Suleimon was arrested and later arraigned before the Ogba Magistrate Court on a charge of sexual assault under Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The defendant pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, requested a hearing date to present evidence.
Magistrate M.O. Tanimola granted bail to Suleimon under strict conditions, requiring two sureties with verified addresses and proof of tax payment. He was remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre until he meets the bail terms. The case has been adjourned for further mention.
