Upon arrival, the situation allegedly shifted dramatically: the man is accused of taking his wife's travel documents and phone before returning to Australia without her. His family then reportedly initiated the formal return of her dowry, signifying the dissolution of the union.

The wife, who married in 2022 and moved abroad in 2024, has expressed a firm desire not to carry a pregnancy herself, preferring surrogacy instead.
