A passenger aboard an Air Asia flight from Cam Ranh, Vietnam, to Bangkok, Thailand, was removed by authorities following a mid-air incident in which he reportedly became disruptive, removed his clothing, and attempted to exit the aircraft before landing.
The event occurred on Thursday, January 29, approximately 15 minutes before the Airbus A320 was scheduled to land in Bangkok. According to witness accounts, the passenger—believed to be a Russian national—appeared heavily intoxicated and began pacing the aisle while expressing agitation.
A fellow passenger, Piaporn Chamsrio, stated that the individual disregarded instructions from the cabin crew to return to his seat and proceeded to undress to his underwear while demanding to be let off the plane.
After the aircraft landed, the man reportedly rushed through the cabin door onto the mobile stairs, where he fell and injured his leg. Witnesses say he then attempted to hide beneath a nearby vehicle before being detained by airport security.
Local reports indicate the passenger faces possible charges including endangering aircraft safety, disobeying crew instructions, and causing a public disturbance. Air Asia has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
Video footage of the event has circulated online, drawing attention to passenger conduct and airline security protocols.
