'She Went to Meet a Man and Never Came Home': 51-Year-Old Arrested After Teen's Decomposed Leg Found in California Desert

T'Neya Tovar, 17, vanished in December 2025; DNA confirmed remains weeks later; suspect Abraham Feinbloom had prior kidnapping charges

A 51-year-old California man has been arrested on murder charges after a decomposed leg found in the desert was confirmed to belong to a missing 17-year-old girl who vanished more than two months ago, authorities said.

Abraham Feinbloom was taken into custody Friday after investigators identified the remains as those of T'Neya Tovar, a Riverside County teen reported missing December 1, 2025, according to the Imperial County Sheriff's Office .

The Disappearance

Tovar was last seen at her home in Hemet before traveling more than 70 miles to the Thermal area that day, reportedly to meet an unknown man, detectives told KTLA . Her mother, Charro Tovar, said the teen normally shared her location with family and friends, but communication abruptly stopped the day she disappeared .

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children issued an alert noting that Tovar "may be in the company of an adult male" and had a tattoo on her left hand .

The Grim Discovery

On December 21, authorities discovered a human leg in the Vista Delmar area of Salton City that "showed signs of decomposition," according to a sheriff's office release . The location was approximately half a mile from Feinbloom's home in a scattered residential development on the west shore of the Salton Sea .

DNA testing confirmed the remains belonged to Tovar. "The mother's DNA swab was compared to that of the found remains through a rapid DNA analysis comparison and a positive match was made," the release stated .

The Arrest

On February 13, deputies working alongside the FBI served a search warrant at Feinbloom's home on Harlequin Court in Salton City. When officers arrived, Feinbloom was seen jumping a fence "in what appeared to be an attempt to evade law enforcement," according to authorities . He was quickly apprehended and turned over to FBI agents for questioning .

Feinbloom faces charges of suspicion of murder and resisting a peace officer. He is currently being held without bail in the Imperial County Jail .

Troubling History

Court records show Feinbloom previously faced felony kidnapping charges in Imperial County, though those charges were dismissed in January 2019 following a preliminary hearing .

Neighbors reported hearing drums and screams coming from Feinbloom's residence around the time of Tovar's disappearance, and noted that security cameras were installed at the home on December 23—days after the teen was last seen .

The investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Moreno at 442-265-2265.
