Actress-turned-evangelist Eucharia Anunobi has publicly declared that her life and ministry are under threat, naming Apostle Psalm Okpe, founder of Fresh Oil Ministry in Lagos, as responsible should any harm befall her or her family.
In a video posted on Instagram, Anunobi issued a stark warning, stating that if she suffers "physical injury, harm, or death," Apostle Okpe and his family should be held accountable. She also challenged claims about her personal life, offering to undergo a medical examination to disprove allegations.
Anunobi explained that Okpe was the spiritual leader who ordained her and under whom she served as an associate pastor. She alleged she left the ministry in late 2015 after witnessing what she described as "evil and demonic things" and a "toxic environment" of transactional ministry.
According to her, Okpe has continued to claim she remains under his authority years after her departure. She also vehemently denied his alleged claim of having dated her for over five years, calling it a "malicious and vile statement" that has caused her emotional trauma.
Anunobi stated she has initiated a defamation lawsuit against Okpe in response. The controversy follows a leaked audio recording in which Okpe reportedly made unverified statements; he later issued an apology, calling his comments "careless."
