The session, held in Morocco, took place a day after players had boycotted training in protest over outstanding match payments. According to sources, assurances from football authorities prompted the squad’s return to a normal schedule.
Observers noted that Osimhen trained with limited interaction from teammates following his public disagreement with fellow forward Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s 4–0 win over Mozambique in the round of 16.
