B-Red Shares Details on Governor Adeleke's Osun Airport Project, Defends Family Integrity

In a recent live stream appearance, singer B-Red (Adebayo Adeleke) revealed plans by his father, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, to construct the state's first airport.

Speaking with content creator Carter Efe, B-Red stated the project aims to ease travel for residents, who currently often travel to Lagos for flights. "My father is building Osun State’s first airport so people won’t have to travel to Lagos just to fly," he said.

Addressing Corruption Allegations

B-Red also defended his family's motives, insisting their focus is on development rather than personal gain. To underscore this point, he highlighted the modest size of his security convoy.

"We’re not taking from the people, we’re helping them," he stated. "The convoy that brought me here had just two cars. If we were embezzling money, I’d be moving with 20 cars by now."

Project Background

The airport project has previously faced scrutiny. In 2024, Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo advised the governor to postpone the groundbreaking ceremony amid controversy over relocating the project from Ido-Osun to Ede—the latter being the governor's hometown. Governor Adeleke explained the original site was unsuitable for a full-scale airport.
