Billionaire Son Opens Exclusive Lagos Bowling Club with $5,000 Membership Tag, Stirs Debate

The launch of a new luxury bowling alley in Lagos by Siraheem Okoya—musician and son of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya—has ignited online debate over its exclusivity and pricing.

The facility came into public view after a visit by fashion entrepreneur Chioma Goodhair. In a video from the visit, Siraheem disclosed that an annual membership costs $5,000 (roughly ₦7.5 million), a fee he described as "cheap" for a family-oriented entertainment venue. The club is set to officially open this Sunday.

When questioned about accessibility for average earners, Siraheem was direct, stating the venue is "basically for wealthy people" and not intended for those unable to pay the membership.

Online reactions have been divided. Critics call the price excessive for a recreational activity, even by global standards, and question its sustainability. Others, however, defend the model, suggesting the high cost creates an elite networking space rather than just a bowling alley.

This is not the first time Siraheem has attracted attention for his premium pricing; he previously stated his performance fee is ₦3 million, advising potential clients not to book him if they cannot afford it.
