Popular Afrobeats star Davido has publicly and forcefully responded to an online paternity claim by a teenage girl, revealing that five separate DNA tests—all yielding negative results—have already been conducted to disprove the allegation.
The controversy began when an Instagram user identifying as Anu Adeleke posted an open letter to the singer. In the emotional plea, the teenager, who said she was about to turn 13, claimed she has been bullied for years by classmates for stating Davido is her father. She requested a DNA test to "establish her identity," citing the mental anguish caused by not knowing her biological father.
Davido's Forceful Rebuttal
Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, took to his X account to refute the claims, sharing detailed specifics about previous testing.
“After 5 DNA test … she Dey crase .. her and her mom better leave me the f**k alone and go find her papa,” the singer tweeted.
He explained the thoroughness of the process, stating, “Yes I chose 3 hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals .. all came out Negative.” He expressed frustration with the situation, adding that he has never met the girl except during the DNA appointments and suggested the mother should face legal consequences.
“Never met the b*tch… except when went For the DNA… very stupid behavior I will soon treat their FK… 5 f**king hospitals just to be clear .. the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl ..” he wrote.
Davido concluded his statement with a clear legal warning: “When we strike make nobody beg us ooo ok,” signaling potential legal action if the claims persist.
