Entertainer Peller Announces Pause from Streaming, Plans Restaurant Venture Following Cubana Chief Priest's Advice

Popular Nigerian entertainer Peller has announced he is stepping back from content streaming, citing an increasingly saturated and competitive digital landscape. He revealed plans to pivot into the food and hospitality business, following entrepreneurial advice from socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest.

In a candid update, Peller explained that despite being an early pioneer of streaming in Nigeria, early entry no longer guarantees success. “I’ve decided to step back from streaming content for now because the competition has become overwhelming. Even though I was one of the people who started streaming early in Nigeria, that no longer counts for much,” he stated. “I’ll leave the space for others and focus on building another business.”

New Venture: Hospitality Business

Peller credited Cubana Chief Priest for steering him toward the food industry. According to him, the well-known socialite advised him to leverage his widespread popularity by opening large-scale restaurants in major cities.

“Cubana Chief Priest recently gave me some important advice, encouraging me to invest in the food business,” Peller shared. “He suggested I open a large restaurant in major cities like Lagos and Abuja, noting that my fame and influence—both online and offline—would naturally draw customers and help the business grow.”

Taking the counsel to heart, Peller confirmed he has already begun preparations to launch a flagship restaurant in Lagos, with plans to expand to Abuja afterward. He framed the move as a strategic effort to build multiple income streams.

“The idea is to create another solid source of income, so I can have multiple hustles bringing in money before I even starts thinking about marriage and settling down,” he explained.

The announcement marks a significant shift for the entertainer, who rose to fame through his energetic and often humorous live streams. His transition reflects a growing trend among digital creators in Nigeria who are diversifying into tangible businesses to secure long-term financial stability beyond social media.
