Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has unexpectedly secured a third Guinness World Records (GWR) title. While her attempt in September 2025 successfully set the record for the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice, GWR has now announced she also proactively achieved the record for the largest serving of rice overall.
The additional title was confirmed via an email to Baci from the GWR creative team. Officials noted that during their review of her initial attempt, which involved over 8,780 kg of rice prepared at Eko Hotels and Suites in Lagos, they identified she had also surpassed the benchmark for the broader rice-serving category. The record is co-held with the food brand Gino.
Expressing her shock and joy on Instagram, Baci described the news as an unforeseen blessing. "Woke up a three-time Guinness World Records holder and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it," she wrote, calling the moment a reminder of "faithfulness" and a powerful start to 2026.
This new accolade adds to Baci’s growing list of achievements. She first entered the record books in May 2023 for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, before securing the Nigerian jollof rice record last year.
