IShowSpeed Explains Why He Is Not Collaborating With Content Creators on Africa Tour

Popular streamer IShowSpeed has addressed the growing requests for collaborations from local content creators during his ongoing tour across Africa, clarifying the fundamental purpose of his visit.

In a recent statement, Speed explained that the “Speed Does Africa” tour is designed to spotlight the continent’s authentic culture and everyday people, not to facilitate partnerships with fellow online personalities.

He emphasized that each stop is carefully pre-planned and time-bound, with itineraries focused on visiting specific local communities, street performers, and cultural sites arranged by residents.

“The goal is to showcase Africa for the world—its people, its talent, its daily life—not to centre the tour around content creators,” Speed stated.

He added that many creators seeking collaborations already have substantial platforms of their own, while his mission is to give exposure to individuals and experiences that rarely receive global attention.

Speed stressed that he will not alter or cancel culturally significant engagements planned by locals simply to accommodate influencers, reaffirming that the tour remains committed to its original vision of authentic representation.
