A 38-year-old man, Yakubu Olalabi, has been arraigned in Lagos State for the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl and the seizure of her underwear following the assault.
The incident reportedly occurred on December 5, 2025, in the Agege area of Lagos. According to police, Olalabi is accused of luring the victim to his residence, beating her into submission, and then sexually assaulting her. He is further alleged to have taken her pants afterward and refused to return them or explain his reasons during police interrogation.
Olalabi faces three charges, including defilement of a minor, assault, and indecent conduct for seizing the victim's underwear. The Ogba Magistrate Court has ordered him remanded in custody pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
