Nicki Minaj Announces U.S. Citizenship Process, Flaunts Trump Gold Card

American rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed she is finalizing her U.S. citizenship process after receiving a “Trump Gold Card,” a document tied to a fast-track immigration program introduced under the Donald Trump administration.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, Minaj shared an image of the gold-colored card and declared, “Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President.” She added that she received the card “free of charge.”

The Trump Gold Card program offers wealthy foreign nationals a rapid path to lawful permanent residency and eventual citizenship in exchange for a minimum contribution of about $1 million to the U.S. government, plus processing fees. Minaj, however, claimed exemption from the financial requirement.

Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Minaj has lived in the United States for years as a legal permanent resident. Her recent open endorsement of President Trump—whom she has described as one of her strongest supporters—has sparked considerable debate online.

The announcement of her expedited citizenship process has further fueled discussions across social media about immigration, celebrity influence, and political affiliation.
