Hamzat Habeeb, widely known as Peller, a popular TikTok content creator, has hinted at abandoning his recent plans to pursue a law degree, just days after publicly celebrating his admission to a private university in Lagos.
In a voice note shared on his channel, Peller expressed frustration that attending classes was interfering with his ability to earn money.
“Guys, I swear to God, I remember I said I am going to school… I am not going again. I am not going again,” he stated.
He elaborated that sitting through a four-hour class without generating income felt unacceptable. “I didn’t make any money. I will write, I will look, I will play, not making anything. God forbid. I am not doing that one again,” he explained.
Peller also noted feeling out of place among older classmates, describing himself as the “only young blood there.” He suggested he might reconsider education later in life, saying, “Maybe when I clock like 30, 40 years, I will now go to school. Please cancel everything. I am tired.”
This announcement marks a stark reversal from his viral video last Saturday, where he enthusiastically announced his admission to study law. In that video, he appeared to address critics who had questioned his educational background: “Everyone has been criticising me for not being educated… Now, all of you should leave social media, because I’m in school. I’m now studying law. You can’t mess with me anymore.”
Peller has faced consistent online criticism regarding his grammar and level of education. Earlier this month, he disclosed plans to further his education partly to improve his spoken English.
The content creator remains in the public eye following recent events tied to the visit of American streamer IShowSpeed to Nigeria.
