Nollywood star and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has reached a significant career milestone with her latest comedy film, “Oversabi Aunty,” surpassing ₦1 billion at the Nigerian box office.
According to distributor FilmOne Entertainment, the movie has grossed over ₦1.02 billion since its release on December 19, 2025. This achievement makes it the fourth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time and marks the first time a Toyin Abraham production has crossed the billion-naira mark.
A Landmark in Nollywood
“Oversabi Aunty” now joins an elite group of Nollywood blockbusters that have earned over ₦1 billion, including A Tribe Called Judah (₦1.04 billion), Everybody Loves Jenifa (₦1.88 billion), and Behind the Scenes (₦2.41 billion).
The film’s success represents a major professional highlight for Abraham, reinforcing her position as one of the industry’s most commercially successful filmmakers in recent years.

In a grateful Instagram post, Abraham thanked her supporters, cast, crew, and distribution partners. “Thank you God. Thank you ToyinTitans. Thank you Nigerians… I’m short of words,” she wrote.
She also highlighted that the project marked her directorial debut on the big screen, describing the record-breaking outcome as both humbling and motivating.
