Transcorp Hotels Plc, the hospitality subsidiary of Transnational Corporation Plc, has announced a record revenue of N97.04 billion for the fiscal year 2025, marking a 38% increase from the N70.13 billion reported in 2024.
The company’s audited financial statement, filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), revealed strong performance across all major service areas, including room bookings, conferences, food and beverage, and other ancillary offerings.
Key financial highlights from the report include:
Gross Profit Margin: Increased to 77% from 71% in 2024, driven by higher sales volume, cost management, and operational efficiency.
Operating Profit: Rose to N35.24 billion, up 35% from N26.03 billion in the previous year.
Profit Before Tax: Grew by 45% to N32.82 billion, compared to N22.61 billion in 2024.
Profit After Tax: Increased by 47% to N21.85 billion from N14.90 billion.
In a statement, the Board Chair, Dr. Awele Elumelu, commended the management team led by Managing Director/CEO Mrs. Uzoamaka Oshogwe for the strong results. She noted that the company’s growing asset base and equity—which increased by 14% and 18%, respectively—position it for sustained future growth.
Mrs. Oshogwe attributed the performance to disciplined operational efficiency, cost management, and team commitment. She highlighted ongoing investments in infrastructure, including the development of a 5,000-seat world-class Transcorp Centre, aimed at positioning Nigeria as a leading destination for high-profile international events.
On the balance sheet, Transcorp Hotels’ total assets grew to N159.91 billion, a 14% increase from N140.70 billion in 2024, while total equity rose to N95.23 billion from N80.52 billion.
The company’s shares closed at N170.90 per unit on the NGX at the end of trading on Friday.
