Femi Otedola Boosts Stake in First HoldCo to 18.12%

Billionaire investor and Group Chairman of First HoldCo Plc, Femi Otedola, has increased his shareholding in the financial holding company to 18.12%, according to the firm’s unaudited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025.

The documents, released on Friday, show that Otedola now holds a combined direct and indirect stake of 8.02 billion shares. His direct holding stands at 3.25 billion shares, representing 7.31% of the issued share capital, while his indirect holdings amount to 4.8 billion shares, or 10.81%.

This marks an increase from the 11.8% stake he held at the end of the 2024 financial year.

The filing also revealed that RC Investment Management Limited remains the single largest shareholder with a 23.47% stake, amounting to 10.43 billion shares.

First HoldCo’s total issued share capital grew from 35.9 billion shares in 2024 to 44.45 billion shares as of December 31, 2025. The company’s free float decreased to ₦1.24 trillion, or 58.34% of issued shares, down from 79.46% in 2024. The group noted that this still complies with Nigerian Exchange (NGX) listing requirements for premium board companies.

In December 2025, Otedola had acquired additional shares worth ₦14.8 billion, further consolidating his position in the financial holding group.
