Venezuela's Rodríguez Accuses "Zionist" Forces Behind Maduro Capture, Vows Justice

In a televised address, Venezuela's Vice President Delcy Rodríguez claimed the U.S. operation that captured President Nicolás Maduro had a "Zionist tint" and was an act of armed aggression against the country's sovereignty.

Speaking on Mexican public media, Rodríguez asserted, "The governments of the world are simply shocked that it is the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela which is the victim and subject of an attack of this nature, which has, without a doubt, a Zionist tint."

She warned that those responsible would be held accountable: “The extremists who have promoted armed aggression against our country — history and justice will make them pay.”

**No Evidence of Israeli Involvement**
Rodríguez’s allegation comes amid widespread international reaction to Maduro’s capture. However, there is no evidence that Israel played any role in the planning or execution of the U.S.-led operation, and Israeli officials have not commented on the claim.

As the designated successor, Rodríguez called for unity among government supporters and framed the event as a pivotal moment for Venezuela's resistance against foreign interference.

The U.S. has defended the operation as a lawful action based on longstanding criminal charges against Maduro, while several nations have condemned it as a breach of international law.
