Cubana Chief Priest Links Davido’s Grammy Loss to “Demonic” Industry Pressures

Nigerian celebrity Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has suggested that Davido’s failure to win at the 2026 Grammy Awards was the result of deliberate sabotage.

Davido lost the Best African Music Performance category to South African singer Tyla during Sunday’s ceremony.

In an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest claimed that “Western industry figures” are attempting to pressure Davido into what he called “demonic” practices, and that the singer’s refusal to comply has led to repeated setbacks on the global stage.

“Oyibo dey do everything possible to break a strong man so he can do their demonic sh*t with them, but he will never do it,” he wrote.

He encouraged Davido to remain focused and true to his principles, adding, “Heads up brother, open the bag and drop another hot one for us.”
