Digital Creator Lucky Elohor Dies at 29 Following Ilorin Auto Crash

Lucky Elohor, the Nigerian digital entrepreneur and founder of the GROW Network, has passed away at the age of 29.

Her death was announced via her official Instagram page on Tuesday. Known professionally as Digital Creator Chic, Elohor dedicated her career to mentoring young professionals through GROW Network, an online platform focused on career advancement and personal development.

"A Light, Full of Purpose"

In a statement released by her family, Elohor was remembered as a woman of profound impact and quiet strength.

"She was a light, full of purpose, grace, and an unwavering commitment to impacting lives," the family said. "She built with intention, loved deeply, and served selflessly through her work, her community, and her faith."

The family requested privacy and prayers during their time of mourning, adding that burial arrangements would be communicated at a later date.

A Preventable Tragedy

According to a close friend, Elohor died from injuries sustained in a motor accident in Ilorin, Kwara State capital. The friend, in an emotional social media post, detailed a cascade of systemic failures that followed the crash.

The accident was reportedly triggered by a pothole. In the immediate aftermath, no emergency rescue service was available to transport the injured to a hospital. Bystanders were recording the scene instead of offering assistance.

When a Good Samaritan finally arrived, the nearest public hospital was on strike, forcing the victims to be moved to another city. Upon arrival, the private facility was found to be critically ill-equipped—critically, there was no functional MRI machine in the entire city of Ilorin. The nearest was in Ogbomosho.

Elohor did not survive the journey back.

"Nigeria with Its Own Agenda"

Her friend's post laid bare the compounding failures that transformed an accident into a fatality:

"Bad roads—pothole led to accident. No emergency service—no one to move them quickly to hospital. Instead, they are recording them. Hospitals on strike. Poorly equipped private hospitals—no functional MRI in the entire city of Ilorin. My girl didn't make it back from that trip."

She concluded: "It's how you wake up and pray for a good life and there comes Nigeria with its own agenda."

A Legacy Cut Short

Elohor's death has sent shockwaves through Nigeria's digital creator community, where she was widely respected for her commitment to lifting others. Hundreds of young professionals credit GROW Network with providing the guidance and community support that shaped their careers.

As tributes continue to pour in across social media, her family's words offer a somber benediction: "Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched."
