Spiritualist Claims Singer Nanyah’s Death Was Caused by "Sent" Snakes in Act of Retribution

A spiritualist has stirred controversy by alleging that the recent death of singer Ifunanya Nwangene, known as Nanyah, was not an accident but a spiritually orchestrated attack.

In a viral Facebook post, the spiritualist, who goes by the name Lord Uzih The Reminder, claimed that Nanyah had disrespected an older woman described as a “Naga woman,” which triggered a supernatural retaliation.

“Stop insulting people cause you have keyboards,” he wrote. “She was rude to someone who is a Naga woman… look what two Nagas did to her; may her soul rest in peace. If you think I am lying, do your consultation… those snakes were sent and they completed their mission.”

The singer died last week after being bitten by a snake in her Abuja residence, prompting widespread grief and calls for better access to antivenom in Nigerian hospitals.

The spiritualist’s claims have sparked mixed reactions online. Some users expressed fear and belief in spiritual causation, while others dismissed the allegations as baseless and harmful speculation, urging the public to focus on factual and medical explanations for her death.
