'Tears Just Dropped From My Eyes' — Tunde Ednut Breaks Silence as South-East Billionaires Flock to Tinubu's 2027 Campaign

Popular blogger and social media influencer Tunde Ednut has poured out his heart over the steady drift of influential Igbo billionaires into President Bola Tinubu's re-election camp, admitting the developments have left him feeling "weak" and "somehow deep inside."

In an emotional post that has since triggered a wave of reactions, Ednut named high-profile figures including Zenco, Obi Cubana, Cubana Chief Priest, and Enviable as having openly aligned with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 elections. Several have reportedly donated buses and other resources to the president's campaign machinery.

"All My Men Have Gone"

"All my men have gone to Tinubu's side," Ednut wrote. "I feel somehow inside of me. I feel pain somehow deep inside. But no problem. OBidient, no shaking. Peter Obi till the end. We don't back down."

The entertainer, known for his massive online following and vocal support for the Labour Party presidential candidate, confessed that the defections triggered an unexpected emotional response.

"I don't know why, but tears just dropped from my eyes. It feels like all hope is lost now that some of our top big boys have switched to APC."

Loyalty Over Realignment

Despite his anguish, Ednut was careful not to attack the businessmen, acknowledging personal ties that restrained his tongue.

"They are still my people, and I can't speak against them. If to say them no be my people, we for yarn small. But my loyalty is forever. It doesn't switch."

The blogger's restraint stands in contrast to the heated exchanges that have characterised recent discourse around Igbo elites and their political realignments. Just days ago, Cubana Chief Priest and former Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose engaged in a bitter war of words over similar allegations.

"No Wahala Sha"

Ednut ended his post with a mix of resignation and resolve, urging OBidients to remain steadfast.

"No wahala sha! E pain me oo! OBidients, we move. If Peter Obi wins the primaries and gets the ticket to contest for president, let's give him our full support. All the best."

He added: "Honestly, I'm not happy at the moment. I just feel weak."

A Growing Chasm

The influencer's raw vulnerability underscores a growing emotional and political chasm within the South-East electorate. While Peter Obi remains widely popular among grassroots supporters and diaspora Nigerians, a noticeable segment of the region's wealthy and politically connected class appears to be pivoting toward Tinubu's re-election project—citing strategic access, business interests, and the "fight from inside" approach.

Whether this realignment signals a broader shift or merely reflects elite calculations remains to be seen. For Tunde Ednut and millions of OBidients, however, the pain is immediate—and deeply personal.
