The Kaduna State Police Command and local authorities have firmly denied widespread reports claiming that over 100 worshippers were abducted in Kajuru Local Government Area, dismissing the allegations as false and designed to destabilize the state's peace.
At a press briefing following a State Security Council meeting on Monday, Commissioner of Police Muhammad Rabiu challenged the sources of the reports to provide verifiable evidence, including names and details of the alleged victims.
"Anyone who has evidence should come forward with the list of kidnapped persons and their particulars," Rabiu stated, cautioning against what he described as the work of "conflict entrepreneurs."
He warned that individuals found spreading unsubstantiated rumors aimed at disrupting the state's relative calm would face the full consequences of the law.
