Nigerian artist Skales has shared a personal testimony about how a viral video of Barcelona's teenage star Lamine Yamal dancing to his song helped revive his career at a crucial time.
Speaking at a church service, Skales revealed that earlier this year he felt his career was struggling and he faced public ridicule. He recounted praying for a breakthrough, shortly before videos of Yamal enjoying his track spread across social media.
"God raised a kid in Barcelona, Lamine Yamal, and all it took was one simple dance video that went viral, and changed my life," Skales said.
The sudden surge in global attention led to new opportunities, including work on a major international advertisement. Skales described the experience as a testament to divine timing, stating that several of his prayers were answered almost simultaneously through the unexpected viral moment.
