Ogun State Police Command has filed a six-count charge against activist Adetoun Onajobi, widely known as "Just Adetoun," for alleged cyberbullying of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The charges, filed at the Federal High Court in Abeokuta, follow accusations that Onajobi used social media platforms to publish false allegations against the governor and the state government, in violation of the Cybercrimes Act.
Police spokesperson Oluseyi Babaseyi stated that Onajobi was invited for questioning on January 2, 2026, but declined the invitation, citing medical grounds through her lawyer. An investigation later revealed that the submitted medical report was fabricated, leading to the arrest and arraignment of the doctor who issued it for conspiracy, forgery, and obstructing justice.
Onajobi is known for her vocal social media criticism of the Abiodun administration, including commentary on the medical response following a December 2025 car accident involving former boxing champion Anthony Joshua.
The police have vowed to pursue all legal avenues to ensure her appearance in court to face the charges.
