Ademola Lookman Completes €40 Million Transfer to Atletico Madrid

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has officially joined Atletico Madrid from Atalanta in a transfer deal worth over €40 million.

The Spanish club secured the signature of the 28-year-old Nigerian international after weeks of negotiations, meeting the Italian side's valuation and finalizing improved personal terms with the player.

Lookman had been a long-term target for Atletico, and the move materialized after rival interest from Turkish club Fenerbahçe stalled due to disagreements over payment structure.

The forward, who enjoyed a successful spell at Atalanta, will now reunite with manager Luciano Spalletti in Madrid. Spalletti previously coached Lookman during Napoli's Serie A title-winning campaign.

Lookman's arrival strengthens Atletico's attacking options as the club prepares for upcoming domestic and European challenges.
