A new digital lottery platform, AfriMillions, has launched in Nigeria with a historic ₦1 billion mega jackpot, broadcast live on Wazobia Max TV and radio to ensure transparency and public trust.
The inaugural draw was hosted by media personality Mannie Essien and witnessed by regulatory officials, including the CEO of the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority, Mr. Bashir Abiola Are. The company emphasized that all draws are independently verified to comply strictly with national gaming regulations.
Positioned as a mobile-first platform, AfriMillions aims to modernize lottery participation in Africa by blending digital convenience with regulated security. Beyond the weekly mega jackpot, the platform offers daily games and active social media engagement to build a community of players.
In the coming weeks, AfriMillions plans to introduce a digital ticket-sharing feature, allowing up to 10 users to participate together in a single lottery entry—bringing a traditional syndicate model into the digital space.
