Rapper Nicki Minaj has stirred controversy by claiming the Grammy Awards are connected to “satanic rituals,” following a joke made about her during the ceremony by host Trevor Noah.
During the 68th Grammy Awards on February 1, Noah referenced Minaj’s recent public appearances with former President Donald Trump, quipping that she was “still at the White House… discussing very important issues.” The remark quickly gained attention online.
In response, Minaj took to social media platform X, where she posted a series of statements alleging that the music industry event involves dark practices. “Your favorite artist has been practicing rituals in a satanic cult where they take babies from other countries & mutilate & kill them as a blood sacrifice to their God,” she wrote.
She added, “When your master is satan, you must constantly shed blood… As they do their ritual tonight, God almighty will reveal himself to them. The ritual will backfire.”
The tweets have drawn significant reaction online, with some users supporting her claims and others questioning their validity. One comment noted, “Queen of Rap, yet no Grammy after 12 nominations, that’s when I realized the industry is more than what they televise.”
Minaj, who has never won a Grammy despite multiple nominations, has previously expressed criticism of the awards process. Noah has not publicly responded to her latest comments.
