Born Damilola Afolabi, L.A.X began his music journey as a rapper in secondary school as part of the group Flyboiz. He rose to prominence in 2013 with the hit single ‘Caro’, a collaboration with superstar Wizkid under the Starboy Entertainment label. The track earned a nomination for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
He later teamed up with Wizkid again on ‘Ginger’, further cementing his place in the industry. L.A.X later founded his own record label, Rasaki Music, and has since built a successful career as a solo artist and performer.
